Minnesotans for an Energy-Efficient Economy - Sustainable Minnesota is a project of Minnesotans for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ME3) and the Institute for Local Self-Reliance (ILSR). We hope that these pages will help citizens and organizations in Minnesota and the region get timely information to promote sustainable energy policies. 

Minnesota Green Power Directory - Your investment in Green Power supports the development of wind turbines in Minnesota, such as this turbine on farmland in Pipestone County that supplies electricity to Xcel Energy's WindSource progam.

MN law requires that utilities offer green power to their customers. Interested consumers will make an additional payment for each "block" of renewable energy they wish to purchase. 

Alliance to Save Energy -  The Alliance to Save Energy promotes energy efficiency worldwide to achieve a healthier economy, a cleaner environment and energy security.  Energy efficiency is the quickest, cheapest, cleanest way to extend our nation's energy supplies.

MN Dept. of Commerce  - One Stop Browsing for Minnesota's Regulated Industries and Businesses.  Check out the Energy Info Center for downloadable home energy guides, energy saving tips, and general information on solar power, window power and much more.

EEBA (Energy Efficient Building Association)  - The Energy Efficient Building Association promotes the awareness, education and development of energy efficient, environmentally responsible buildings and communities. 

Millennium Star Energy Home - Minnesota Power's Millennium Star project gives you a firsthand look at the construction of a high-efficiency home that can be heated and cooled for $300 or less per year - without sacrificing big windows, unique floor plans, fresh air and all of the other comforts of modern living. This web site was created so anyone can check out real-time temperate data from in and out of the home. It also provides information about the energy efficient building technologies used to build this home. 

MREA  - The Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) is a network for sharing ideas, resources, and information with individuals, businesses, and communities to promote a sustainable future through renewable energy and energy efficiency. The MREA is working to protect the environment by educating the public about appropriate use of natural resources to meet our energy needs.
